Paddling Together at the Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races

Every year the DBDB crew takes to the water — a mixed men's and women's team representing Discovery Bay Dad Bods at the annual Dragon Boat races. We train hard, race harder, and bring the whole community down to the beach.

A Mixed Team That Trains Together

Our dragon boat team is open to men and women of all abilities. Whether you've raced before or have never held a paddle, you'll find a seat in the boat. We build the crew around technique, timing, and team work — coached from the same DBDB principles that drive our land training.

Two months before race day we switch into dragon boat specific training: paddle technique, race-pace pieces, boat starts, and race-day simulations. By the time the gun goes off, the crew is sharp, synced, and ready.
